Dr. Saurabh Bhardwaj is a Professor and Associate Dean of Faculty Affairs at the Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology in India, with over 20 years of experience in academia and research. His expertise spans statistical and machine learning methods, with a specialized focus on bioinformatics, where he has made significant contributions to unsupervised deconvolution techniques for analyzing complex biological data. Additionally, he serves as a Research Scientist at Virginia Tech, USA, where he collaborates on pioneering bioinformatics projects.

Dr. Bhardwaj’s recent work includes developing a tool for determining cell type-specific gene expressions from bulk tissue data and designing a suite of analytic tools to enhance molecular feature identification across diverse phenotypic groups. He has also co-led projects focused on missing data imputation, differential expression analysis, and marker gene detection, providing essential insights into cellular mechanisms and disease pathology.

Dr. Bhardwaj’s academic background includes postdoctoral research at Virginia Tech, USA, an M.Tech degree in Instrumentation Engineering from Panjab University, and a Ph.D. from Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology, Delhi University.
